No matter what they say about social networking sites being too impersonal and taking away the “real” communication, I find out a great deal about my friends and acquaintances through their Facebook or Twitter status updates. In some cases, much more than I ever knew, and quite frequently, more than I want to know.

When I came to the U.S. for the first time, my impression of it was not the best. The food was absolutely terrible; the cashiers at the stores were giving me fake smiles which gave me chills; strangers were giving me real smiles which gave me creeps and American English turned out to be much different from English that I was taught at school.

I Corinthians 13 (this happens to be my favorite scripture):

Love is patient; love is kind
and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
its hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things
that last forever: faith, hope, and love;
